When I first saw this ring, I immediately though of Tsarina Alexandria, wife of Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. I don’t know why I feel like this delicate ring would be one she would wear, but I like to think the under estimated beauty and delicate setting would make this ring special to her.
Let it be known that I don’t know much about the Tsarina other than she was a grand daughter of Queen Victoria of England, she had some form of mental issues the were rooted in her children and that she was responsible for Rasputin. But from the books I’ve read and my affinity for Russian culture, this tiara set 0.7 pear cut ring from Trumpet and Horne (via 1stdibs.com) definitely gives off the Victorian vibe. For the sake of my own imagination, I would pretend that this ring was given to the Tsarina by her grandmother. An entirely faux story, but a fun one.
